Descripción: Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced COBOL and Java Developer with strong expertise in Parthenon Host Architecture and Parthenon Retail systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on development experience and a solid background in accounting-level functionalities within retail systems. This role is well-suited for professionals with a mix of legacy host and modern Java/Spring Boot expertise, who can work independently in a fully remote setup. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL (MicroFocus) and Java (Spring Boot). • Work on Parthenon Host Architecture and support Parthenon Retail modules, with a strong focus on accounting-level functionality. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between host and Java-based systems. • Analyze, debug, and resolve technical issues in both host and modern architectures. • Deliver clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with best practices. • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and improvements in a hybrid technology environment. Required Skills and Experience: • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a developer. • Strong expertise in Parthenon Host Architecture with COBOL (MicroFocus). • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot. • In-depth knowledge of Parthenon Retail, particularly at the Accounting level. • Experience with OBBs and host system integrations. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in legacy and modern systems. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Education: • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
